You have to actively advertise and promote yourself. Notice I said promote “yourself” and not just “your song” or “Your album.” Albums will come and go; Singles will come and go; but your name is your livelihood. So focus on building your brand, your NAME brand! This means advertising, promoting, and attaching yourself to the right people, places and opportunities. Don’t be afraid to invest into yourself. Remember even companies like Pepsi started off like you but had the understanding that they need to promote themselves consistently to promote the brand.
